Collective Impact, noun: A model for social change utilizing critical partnerships with other change agents working together to build trust, measure progress, and create sustainable change.

At Gwinnett Coalition, we employ a collective impact model to tackle complex health and social challenges in Gwinnett County. Our strategy requires collaboration with many parties across various sectors to create a comprehensive plan, track progress, appoint leadership, and cultivate trust while addressing the root causes of complicated systemic issues.

Backbone organizations are a central element of the Collective Impact theory, which states that “no single policy, government department, organization or program can tackle or solve the increasingly complex social problems we face as a society.”
As a convening and planning agency, the Gwinnett Coalition serves as the backbone organization for Gwinnett County, bringing together a diversity of stakeholders and leading a synchronized effort to achieve a common goal- a healthier, more equitable future for our citizens.

Creating lasting change in a community as diverse and complex as Gwinnett County requires the active participation and partnership of many groups dedicated to prioritizing the health and well-being of all.

The Gwinnett Coalition is proud to partner with many impactful organizations, groups, and stakeholders in our efforts to address equity and systemic issues across the county.
