Community Resiliency Model Training (CRM)®

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® trains community members to not only help themselves but to help others within their wider social network. The primary focus of this skills-based, stabilization program is to reset the natural balance of the nervous system.

CRM’s goal is to help to create “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-focused” communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach.

This training is ideal for community members, particularly those who have experienced trauma or have a strong interest in trauma and resilience, such as therapists, crisis counselors, and community leaders. It is also beneficial for individuals who work with vulnerable populations. CRM can be taught to individuals as young as 4 and up to 100 years old, making it a versatile and inclusive approach to building resilience across all ages.

Stewards of Children

Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children is an adult-focused training that teaches how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Child sexual abuse is likely the most prevalent health problem children face, with the most serious array of consequences. In fact, 1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday.

Child sexual abuse happens as a result of the choices adults make--not just the choices child abusers make, but the choices parents, schools, churches, and youth-serving organizations make. In many cases, prevention is a matter of making better choices for our children. We will explore what those better choices are, how to recognize the signs of abuse, and what to do if a child makes a disclosure.

Stewards of Children is offered by a trained facilitator and uses real people and real stories to show you how to protect children.
