Resilient Gwinnett
Resilient Gwinnett is Gwinnett Coalition’s mental and behavioral health collaborative. We strive to build a stronger, healthier community for children, youth, and young adults.
Through partnerships, education, and advocacy, Resilient Gwinnett brings organizations and community leaders together to prevent trauma, promote resilience, and create systems that support the well-being of young people ages 0–26.
By fostering a shared understanding of adversity and resilience, we help individuals, families, and organizations across Gwinnett County create environments where young people can thrive.
Our Connection to Gwinnett Coalition
Resilient Gwinnett is part of Gwinnett Coalition’s commitment to improving the well-being of the community through collaboration and systems change.
Resilient Gwinnett focuses specifically on mental and behavioral health, trauma prevention, and community resilience. Through this collaborative effort, partners align strategies, share knowledge, and work together to build systems that better support young people and families in Gwinnett County.
Our Focus
Resilient Gwinnett champions the well-being of youth and young adults by cultivating resilience and preventing trauma through a community-based approach.
Our approach:
- Promoting Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) that help children develop healthy relationships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
- Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that can impact lifelong health and well-being.
- Encouraging Trauma-Informed Care across organizations, systems, and communities.
By strengthening protective factors and addressing the impacts of trauma, we help create environments where Gwinnett residents can grow, learn, and succeed.
